Oakley, CA Bike Trails
Delta de Anza Regional Trail
Named for the route taken by explorer Juan Bautista da Anza, this paved trail spans over 19miles currently. There are plans in place toexpandthe trail to 25 miles, stretching it along the Water District’s canal and the East Bay Municipal Utility District corridor.
Since the trail stretches so far, it connects riders to many different parks, schools, and the Los Medanos Community College. The paved trail makes it a dream for bikers – just watch out for trail connections marked “No Bicycles.”
Big Break Regional Shoreline
The 8.3-mile Big Break trail is one for bikers at any skill level. It’s mostly flat and offers a variety of activities year-round. You can also stop by the Delta Visitor Center on your ride to visit the natural history museum, see the science lab or sign up for a paddling or hiking trip. You may also see plenty of birds, beavers and river otters, so keep an eye out on your ride!
Marsh Creek Regional Trail
Like the Delta de Anza trail, this 8.5-mile path is a work in progress. Upon completion, the paved trail will be 14 miles long, connecting the Delta region with the Morgan Territory Regional Preserve. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it now!Currently, you can ride from Concord Rd.in Brentwoodto Big Break Lake with beautiful scenery along the way.
